Hi folks!
It's been a long two weeks of maintenance, but the store is finally up and running again! Thanks so much for your patience as I made some much needed updates to the shop. Since Pixel Moon is run by just one person (me!) these kind of updates can take some time, but I plan on not closing the shop for this length of period again, if I can avoid it!
I want to share with you some of the new changes to the site!
Shipping Updates
First, and most importantly, I am now shipping to both Australia and New Zealand!! 🎉It's been a long wait, but I am now starting to roll out international shipping to a few select countries. I get quite a bit of site traffic from certain international markets, and I want to let you know that I see you folks, and I have plans for a few more countries I would like to open up to in the near future!
Unfortunately, it may be some time before I can offer full world-wide shipping, since it turns out that learning tax and customs laws for each country can become a bit complicated and overwhelming for just one person to figure out! For now, I will do my best to open up to as many markets as possible!
I also now have a dedicated and more detailed page (outside of just my FAQ page) for my shipping policy, which can be found on the website's footer, or directly here.
New Bookmark and Packaging!
Pixel Moon has a brand new bookmark in store, and new packaging too! There is also a new option to add a tassle to any of the bookmarks for an additional price (limited stock). When you make an order with Pixel Moon, you will find new backing cards for the pins and keychain products, as well as a new, more professional looking thank you card included in your package!
As much as I think it is a great touch to completely hand-write every thank you card for my customers, it does take a lot of time in the packing process, which isn't very sustainable as I continue to grow my business, and I also wanted the thank you note to have a more appealing and professional look for my customer's unboxing experience.
To help keep things personalized, I will still be hand-writing each of my customer's names on these thank you cards, to make sure you know I still care about and appreciate everyone who supports me and this small business! My apologies for anyone who liked the full hand-written notes, but I hope that you understand why I made this change and can still appreciate some small personalization with your names! Also, if you would like me to address you as a different name than one you ordered under, please feel free to add a note to your order! (Read more on order notes below)

If you are seeing this page, then this may be no surprise to you, but Pixel Moon now has a dedicated blog page and posts! I am excited to add this new feature to my website, so that I can provide a central place to speak 1 to 1 with my customers and give you all the latest updates and news.
If you are part of Pixel Moon's mailing list, then you will also get email updates anytime a new blog page has been posted! These blogs will be the perfect place to get information about the store quick, including things such as: store updates, events/markets I'll be attending, seeking customer feedback, and more!
About Page Makeover and "Pixel Art Goes Mainstream" Movement
My about page now has updated content, including a clearer brand message and info on the "Pixel Art Goes Mainstream" Movement.
What is #PixelArtGoesMainstream, you might ask? This campaign is my way of helping pixel art become more of a loved and well-respected art medium, outside of the common perception of it being an art medium just for video games!
If you love pixel art just as much as I do, then there are easy ways you can help be a part of the movement!

In addition, I will be posting blogs for info and updates on the #PixelArtGoesMainstream movement pretty regularly, including sharing more ways to get started with pixel art, and also doing blog features on pixel artists I think are making amazing pixel art, outside of video games!
Additional Updates
Some other changes to the website include:
- Updated design/branded checkout page
- GST/HST is now calculated on Canadian orders. (Saskatchewan orders won't be available until around March 1st, 2024--my apologies! I am currently registering for PST collection in that province and waiting for my number.)
- Updated site navigation.
- Updated FAQ page.
- Some product listings and collections have new photos added.
- New pixel art site icons!
- French language option added (this version is currently auto-translated, so my apologies for any mistakes! If you speak French and find any mistranslations, please feel free to reach out using the contact form and I will try to get it fixed asap! Once I have the means to, I will bring in an official translator for a better experience for my French customers, and for any additional language options I may add in the future).
- You can now leave an order note to your cart! You can use this feature to:
- Leave any special messages or notes about your order (I will try to accommodate as best I can with any special requests when reasonable!)
- Let me know if you have preferences on any freebie stickers I give you from my b-grade sticker sheets (normally b-grades from the gamer chic and witch enchantment sheets), and I will accommodate based on availability!
- Request if you would like to see your order packed on video for Tiktok and Instagram (please note: requesting your order on video is never a guarantee, but if I do record packing your order, I will never share any personal information such as your name or shipping details. I will be no longer sharing order IDs on video to help you identify your order. You are more than welcome to identify yourself for your order in the comments of the video, at your own discretion.)
- Product ratings and quick add buttons now visible on product cards (before this was only available on individual product pages)
- Sale badge is now more visible on product cards.
